Alex is a seasoned musician and educator with over 12 years of teaching experience, specializing in a wide range of musical genres including Classical, Jazz, Rock, and Pop. He has had the privilege of performing with renowned artists such as Big Gigantic, Veronica Swift, Ernie Watts, Adam Deitch, John Reily, and the Colorado Symphony. His versatile teaching approach accommodates players of any skill level, from beginners to advanced musicians, providing a creative and supportive learning environment.
Alex has served as a visiting artist at the Denver School of the Arts, Kent Denver, and Dawson School, where he provided instruction in guitar, improvisation, theory, and ensemble coaching. His passion for fostering musical growth has extended to coaching ensembles through the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts and teaching group classes at Gift of Jazz. Additionally, Alex has worked closely with private students, including national touring musicians, helping them master their instruments while cultivating a lifelong love for music.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was selected to represent the school at the prestigious International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ). His dedication to music education and performance continues to inspire students of all ages and abilities.
