Let's get to know each other!
Ayna Ivanova is a classically trained violinist and music educator based in Brooklyn, NY, known for her warm teaching style, strong technical foundation, and ability to help students build confidence and real musical skills.
Her musical journey began in Siberia, Russia, where she started playing violin at age seven. By thirteen, Ayna had already launched a professional performing career, touring internationally with the elite Siberian Virtuosi ensemble. That early experience shaped her deep discipline, musical sensitivity, and love for performance.
Ayna completed her formal education through an intensive four-year musical college program followed by five years of conservatory training in Russia, earning a bachelor’s degree in music and a rigorous classical foundation that continues to inform her teaching today.
After relocating to New York City, Ayna expanded into a multi-genre career as a performer and educator, collaborating with major artists and brands such as Xbox and performing at world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Citi Field, Times Square, and more.

My music journey
Ayna’s performance career spans styles, stages, and countries. She has performed in over ten countries and across some of the most iconic venues in the world, bringing classical technique into contemporary, jazz, pop, and crossover settings.
In addition to performing, Ayna works as a freelance violinist, scoring composer, and dedicated music educator. Her real-world experience allows her to guide students beyond notes on a page—helping them understand sound, rhythm, and expression as living parts of music.
As a teacher, Ayna works with children, teens, and adults, adapting her approach to each student’s goals and learning style. For younger students, she emphasizes healthy technique, listening skills, and joy at the instrument. For teens and adults, she focuses on musicality, confidence, and stylistic flexibility—whether preparing repertoire, exploring improvisation, or returning to the violin after time away.
At the heart of Ayna’s teaching is a simple belief: strong fundamentals and creativity go hand in hand. Her goal is to help students not just play the violin, but feel connected to music for life.
