From London Stages to Manhattan Studios
Charlie’s journey as a musician and educator began in London’s vibrant music and has since brought him to the stages of NYC, the city he now calls home. A multi-instrumentalist with a Master's in Music from NYU, Charlie's talents span guitar, piano, trumpet, vocals, and drums. His deep understanding of various musical genres, especially acoustic dance music and theater compositions, makes him a versatile and sought-after teacher.

Charlie regularly performs in NYC with his band, Charlie and the Darlings. These shows, filled with his original compositions and comedic flair, are not to be missed. You’ll often spot a few WillYouLearn teachers and parents in attendance—though it’s best to leave the kids at home! His music has resonated internationally, with compositions featured in productions around the world. But no matter how large the stage, Charlie’s true passion lies in sharing the joy of music with his students.

Memorable Moments with Charlie
Memorable moments with Charlie are a dime a dozen, from his "Row, row, row your boat" video, his original compositions to every Charlie and the Darling's show, but one stands out as the epitome of Charlie's good nature and our mission at WillYouLearn.  A few years ago, at our Spring Recital, a drum student performed “Highway to Hell”  by ACDC. The student was accompanied by our faculty guitar and bassist but something was missing. Charlie, without any preparation, jumped in with his incredible falsetto, stunning both the audience and faculty, and sang the melody. It was a moment that showcased not just his musical talent, but his ability to elevate a performance and engage an audience, and to support a young musician - skills he brings to every lesson.
