Lindsay R. - Bass, guitar, beginner piano

Lindsay Rosenberg is an accomplished upright and electric bassist based in New York City, renowned for her versatility across musical theater, pop, and classical genres. She has performed with esteemed ensembles such as Opera Italiana in Central Park alongside members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the Broadway Sinfonietta with Laura Bell Bundy.
Lindsay frequently graces iconic NYC venues, including The Duplex, 54 Below, Triad Theater, and Green Room 42. Her touring experience includes the Legally Blonde National Tour and the 1st National Tour of The Cher Show.
A passionate advocate for contemporary music, Lindsay actively collaborates with living composers. She has commissioned works like Kirsten Ewart’s “Childlike” for double bass and doorstops and contributed to Dan Langa’s multi-movement project, “After Nothing Comes.” In 2023, as a Performance Fellow at The Next Festival for Emerging Artists, she premiered new compositions, notably working with math rock artist Yvette Young of Covet. In March 2025, Lindsay is slated to perform solo works by Philip Glass at the Morgan Library for their Franz Kafka Exhibit.
Dedicated to music education, Lindsay has pioneered general music programs at institutions like Uncommon Schools' Excellence Girls Charter School in Brooklyn. She has served as a teaching artist at the Noel Pointer Foundation, inspiring young string students. Currently, she offers private and group lessons in violin, cello, upright bass, electric bass, and guitar throughout New York City.
Lindsay holds a Master’s Degree in Double Bass Performance from New York University, where she studied with Gregg August, and a Bachelor’s in Double Bass Performance and Music Education from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, under the tutelage of Robert Black.
