Elizabeth Hunter - Voice, Guitar, Bass, Songwriting
"Arianna really enjoys the lessons with Elizabeth--she is wonderful!" Mother of Hewitt School Third Grader
Elizabeth Hunter is vocalist, songwriter, musician, and teacher in New York City. She teaches music at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep in Crown Heights and just celebrated her first release "Elizabeth Hunter," available on iTunes.
Elizabeth studied jazz voice, piano, and orchestration at Wesleyan University, graduating with honors. In 2010, Elizabeth traveled to London to study at the prestigious King's Music College, focusing in modern classical orchestration. And in 2011 she arrived in NYC to study with the Songwriter's Guild of America and hone her songwriting and musicianship chops.
Elizabeth plays out around Greenwich Village (Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Cornelia Street Cafe, etc). She has played and recorded with such greats as Steve Holley (Wings, Elton John, Chuck Berry), Tom Curiano (Garland Jeffreys), Gabriel Gordon (Natalie Merchant, Garland Jeffreys), and Jonny Rosch (Blues Brothers). And with fond memories of the teachers who helped her discover her musical voice, she is happy to be part of the WillYouLearn family, and help the next generation find theirs!
