George Sarpola - Drums, percussion

​George Sarpola is a freelance musician and educator in New York City. He graduated in 2008 from LaGuardia High School with a music endorsement and from SUNY Purchase in 2012 with a B.M. in jazz performance. He has studied with John Riley, Richie Morales and Ray Marchica, among many others. He has performed throughout the NY area with rock and pop groups, orchestras, concert bands and jazz groups at venues including Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, Iridium, Cornelia Street Cafe, Mercury Lounge, The Falcon, Le Poisson Rouge and Knitting Factory.  He has performed on Broadway as part of the musical Thirteen. He is currently a member of multiple bands and a substitute drummer for the Broadway production of Aladdin the Musical.
