Jonathan Heagle - Guitar
Jon Heagle is an in demand guitarist with over ten years of teaching experience. Jon's students have gone on to attend such notable schools as Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University and Brown University. Jon receiver his BM in Jazz Studies from Indiana University and has performed with numerous jazz groups throughout the city including with Blue Note recording artist Greg Osby and pianist Geoffrey Keezer, formerly of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. Jon has played in numerous bands around New York City, including jazz with tenor saxophonist and Sunnyside Records recording artist Stan Killian, singer and Eyes and Ears recording artist Lauren Lee, and saxophonist/clarinetist Ben Golder-Novick; soul/funk music with acclaimed family music group Shine and the Moonbeams, which has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles; and jazz gigs as a bandleader at venues including famed jazz room 55 Bar and Harlem new-music venues the Shrine and Silvana; rock/pop music with singer-songwriter Anna Copa Cabanna and garage-rock band Les Sans Culottes.
